"ASTERIA" by Roby Dwi Antono X VINS (Drops June 21)
Introducing "ASTERIA" from Roby Dwi Antono and produced by VINS, with this VINYL figure since scheduled for a online release via vinsarts.com from June 21, 2021, 11pm (GMT+8).
The figure is sized H9.9" x W7.5" x D6.3", and features Transparent Crystal eyes, on a haunting figure frame reminiscent of house lizards come to life and taunting you in your waking dreams! (Reminding me of 2004's "Citizen Dog" - with Pod's reincarnated grandma!).
In an edition size of 200pcs + 20 APs, there are each priced at US$260 + shipping.
This is not @dwiantonoroby's first art collectible release with @vins_official_art, with "LUH & RUH" released earlier this year too!
"Asteria" is based off his five foot tall sculpture incarnation (seen below), first exhibited in os Angeles earlier in the year!
This is in no way a slight on his creation, as "Citizen Dog" is one of my favouritest Thai feature film! There is a scene in the movie where Pod's (the protagonist) grandmother passes away, and is buried, and her remains seep into the soil, and thru multiple life cycles of nature, she is reinserted into a house lizard, whom "speaks" to Pod...! No, this film is a comedy! Grandma seen at the very end of the trailer featured below :p
