"Untitled" by Junkfed (for Nov 11 Online Release)
WHAT-IS: "The mixed media sculpture employs plastic toy soldiers, a child's plastic costume army helmet, and a novelty skull, atop a wooden block, contrasting the ennoblement of war with the trauma it inflicts on the individual soldier, and their families. Untitled means to jar the viewer into a moment of unsettling contemplation for the soldier who, often not long past their years of playing with toy soldiers, is irrevocably changed."
Sized (approx) 16-inches tall, this mixed media sculpture known as "Untitled" will be available by @junkfed on November 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, online via junkfed.storenvy.com, priced at US$3,000. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
