HELLBOY GRUM REAPUR from Brad Rumble



UK-based creator/artist Brad Rumble introduces us to the "HELLBOY GRUM REAPUR", with this sized 10 x 10 x 10cm (4 x 4 x 4inches) Polyurethane Resin-made hand-painted piece scheduled for a online drop on grumreapur.com come Friday 3rd June 8pm (GMT).



In an edition size of 15pcs, each'll be priced at £140 per, the very first incarnation of HELLBOY GRUMS was made available via Stormy Vault in NYC as part of their "Evil vs Superhero" toy show. The Hellboy Grums on offer here are PU copies of the original sculpt.



"Hellboy is one of my favourite comic book heroes, he is the perfect balance between the light and the dark and a perfect analogy of keeping the darkness within at bay. Naturally it was only a matter of time before I made a Hellboy themed Grum Reapur toy and now is the time. Sculpted using a polyurethane base and carved into to create the depth of the cracks similar to the ones found on Hellboys Right hand of Doom, with additional layers of epoxy clay added to create the rocky texture surrounding the cracks. Following the sculpting phase was a series of paint days, where I added the signature red and added layers of inkwash for the outcome you see displayed here." (Instagram / Facebook / Twitter)
