Toy Review: Sapien Toy Studio's ELO
Let's have a closer look at "ELO" from Singapore-based Sapien Toy Studio, shall we?
Since my Interview with Eric Chew where "ELO" was first teased on TOYSREVIL (his second toy release, after ""), a multitude of colorways has been unleashed, as well upcoming editions on display at the recently concluded POP TOY SHOW SINGAPORE (a couple of in-hand videos showcased below, cheers).
TOY-STORY: "ELO is an ice cream look-alike parasite kaiju. They were harmless but yet once the greatest threat to the sapiens due to its indestructible form. They eat or possess everything. If you cut them, they become 2. Burn them they harden etc. When the Sapiens finally found a way to eliminate them, one managed to escape to the kaiju world.
To avoid being hated by the Kaiju(s), ELO took over a dead dino kaiju and started roaming about and try to make friends. Every Kaiju he sees, he says ELO (sounds like hello). (P.S. kaiju(s) still shuns him though)"
Besides my humble toy-molestation of ELO at PTS, I've had the honor of now owning a ELO (THANKS, ERIC XOXOXO), and it is a wonderful collectible! I'll let my review speak for itself, cheers. Meanwhile, you'd do well to hit up Instagram and/or Facebook to seek availability of your own ELO!
