what is the Gimmeshelter-project?
GimmeShelter is an initiative by Greg Eastmer and is essentially a traveling art show to raise awareness and funds for the homeless - featuring art from a variety of artists (and an impressive group of folks too), done on (no larger than) 12X12-inch-sized cardboard.
the show is currently finishing up two stops in LA and is headed for Columbus, Ohio and Chicago next (schedule) and if you wanna drop some cold hard cash for the art? you'd haveta wait til the completion of the show tour - or if there's any specific piece that you're interested in (peep the selection here) and leave your particulars online here :)
*NOTE: all proceeds from the shows, the books, and the auction will be distributed to non-denominational charities in each city visited.
