BACKSTORY: Junko Mizuno’s Pure Trance mini series is inspired by her hit graphic novel of the same name. This twisted tale tells the story of a group of humans who left earth’s toxic surface following the Third World War to build an underground city. Unfortunately, a serious social problem emerged in this new society called hyperorexia, which is a severe overeating disorder that is a side effect of the Pure Trance life-sustaining pill.
