Art-Feature: ‘你在哪呢？？’ by Dorcas Ng

‘你在哪呢？？’ (Translated to: "Where are you??") is a collection of drawings influenced by the encounters and emotions during a short period of stay in Singapore by 泡(pao)-creator Dorcas Ng (whom I had the opportunity to meet and chat over an afternoon of sushi ;p). Dorcas-said: "You will see traces of influence by contemporary Mandarin music, which has been the main source of inspiration in creating these drawings."

Dorcas-adds: "To attempt to translate a language into another can never do sufficient justice to the original meaning of the words & the intention of the storyteller .

The best attempts have been made to translate these words into English, but never good enough. Therefore, I suggest simply looking at the drawings to give you a reasonable depiction of what it is trying to convey if Mandarin is not your first language."
