STEAMPUNK-STORY: Found during the 1886 expedition into the only known parallel reality. The artifact was brought back but ceased to function once the boundary between our world and theirs was closed, much like most of the other devices that the explorers returned with. This toy in particular was given to the head explorer as a gift for his eldest girl. He noted in his journal that the gears seemed rather dangerous for a young child but he accepted the gift as a token of respect.
