Star Wars Visions: Volume 3 and More!



Announced at Star Wars Celebrations Japan, was the coming of "Star Wars: Visions Volume 3", premiering October 29, 2025 only on DisneyPlus. Featuring nine studio interpretations of the Star Wars lore, here are a few things thus far been revealed...



In Volume 3 of the animated anthology, returning contributors Kamikaze Douga, Kinema citrus Co., Production I.G, and TRIGGER will be joined by five new anime studios, namely; ANIMA (in co-production with Kamikaze Douga), david production, Polygon Pictures, Project Studio Q, and WIT Studio (Source).



One of the shorts titled "Black" is directed by Shinya Ohira (Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), Genius Party Beyond (2008) and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004)) with a preview from David Production showcased below, cheers.



"The Ninth Jedi" is a new "Star Wars: Visions Presents" limited series (essentially "spin-off"), to be directed by Kenji Kamiyama (supervising director). The story started in Volume 1, with the character Kara looking for her father at the end of the short.



""Star Wars: Visions — The Ninth Jedi" features lightsabers that change color depending on one’s Force, according to Kamiyama, and that Kara's father invented these lightsabers and has been kidnapped. “What in the world was the reason for such lightsabers,” Kamiyama continues. “I think it will be a story where those secrets will be told.”'. 2 more spin-offs will join "The Ninth Jedi"; "The Duel" and "The Village Bride", with SPOILER clips posted below (from earlier volumes). Both Volumes 1 and 2 are currently available to watch on DisneyPlus.
