Pageflip for LADY MAXX Issue #1 comicbook (Published by Max Toy Company) & Re-Designing "Reign Of Maxx"

(Re)Introducing "Lady Maxx" Comicbook from Max Toy Company, with Issue #1 published circa 2012, and currently available both online via toysrevil.bigcartel.com, and as well physically at Miku Market, via the TOYSREVIL-table!

Lady Maxx is a full color, standard sized comic book (6.75 x 10.25 inches) 32 pages featuring Lady Maxx, Captain Maxx and Kaiju galore by each artist." (*Recommended for teens and above / Mature readers for subject matter).

This first issue feature stories and art by Bob Conge, Marcus Conge, Daniel Goffin, Shane Haddy, Mark Nagata, TOVI, Alex Wald, as well a pin-up page by yours truly :)

Besides this being an obvious shill to promote the comic at Miku, I'll take this opportunity to repost something I published on my sketch-blog back in 2016 - where I attempted to "re-design" the characters in my fictional "Reign of Maxx" pin-up page! Shown above is a sketch that is a long time coming, having been stuck in my mind since my first "Reign of Maxx" pinup done for Max Toy Co's "LADY MAXX" comicbook, where the young hot-headed "Captain Maxx" takes on his ex-mentor "Eyezon" (who is just about to eviscerate Maxx's chest here!), in my alternate tale of the space adventurers! One day soon I hope to get back into the sequentials I had imagined ...

And seen below are a few more sketches, re-designing Mark Nagata's Captain Maxx suit, which I think now is overdoing it (actually reminds me of "Commander Steel" from DC Comics lol), and even Eyezon - giving him a bionic arm (probably lost during the battle which cost Maxx's father's life too…).

All this is done in "fun" and interest on my end, with no tangible destination planned, at this point in time, except for my own interests :)

Exploring costuming options for my re-interpretation of Mark Nagata's characters Captain Maxx and Eyezon. Both Maxx and his older sister Lady Maxx lost their father/teacher in a galactic incident, and Eyezon has since taken it upon himself to be their new sensei - something which Lady does not care for, but Maxx has somewhat embraced, and constantly taunts and torments the trying-hard-to-be-zen Eyezon! It was either a diaper or a skirt lah, to cover Eyezon's privates hahahaha #hengdraw #toysrevilart

No one bothered to ask if Eyezon was "blind" since he has so many eyes (each of them have different characteristics by the way) on his "head", shoulder and even arm ... But he sure is not going to say or admit anything, would he!? Some say he lost his sight(s) in the same battle which also cost Maxx Senior's death too ... All this of course is over-scheming on my part in my re-interpretation of Mark Nagata's character creations, and is not to be taken as factual, besides my own imaginations haha #toysrevilart #hengdraw #ReignofMaxx

Mark Nagata's #CaptainMaxx on my mind ... More costume redesign considerations, thinking about the headpiece / helmet now... Can't seem to let go hahahaha ... Not too sure about having a "Maxx Family Crest" tho ... Too much like Superman's clan symbol... Hhhmmm but I need a symbol to add in the mystery for my reimagining in #ReignofMaxx ...#hengdraw #toysrevilart
