Designer Poker Chips for DesignerCon 2025
There be POKER CHIPS at DesignerCon 2025 (Nov 14-16), and not just because the event is held in casino-land of Las Vegas, but there'll be designer/artists-created chips to be had! Here are some revealed online thus far...
DrilOne X Leecifer X Deadhand.Co available via booth 1531! Unknown iff there'll be multiple designs, nor if available "blind bagged" or straight-up picks tho... I'll attempt to update when more imagery is revealed (no promises tho)...
Broke Piggy Poker Chips available blind bagged -Available via Scott Tolleson x Broke Piggy Booth #337 - in increments of 5 for US$20. 8 artists with 2 designs each (regular + chase)... Plus a few "Guest Artists" will be doodling on some special blank Poker chips too? AND these are not counting the Poker Chips that come with The Print Show too!
I'd imagine it would've been a fab gimmick for events held in MBS/Marina Bay Sands convention halls (cough-ComicCon-cough)! But perhaps it might come across as "promoting gambling" here in Singapore tho (:p)... would've been fun tho, innit?
But then again imagine collecting tokens to be able to "place a bid" on lottery items/designer art toys? Heh.
Thru the years, there had been incarnations of such "circular shaped collectibles", of course POGs came into mind, and I've even chase trading card inserts (a "007" one! Will find and post picture when I can :p), and Unbox Industries' tinted plastic UNBOX COINS, used as "UNBOX TOKEN REWARD PLAN"? I still have a stack of these sitting somewhere in a box LOL
