About That Hot Toys Joker Viral Promo (Maybe)
Jeff Parker (aka "Wookster" on OSW) received a very intriguing package from Hong Kong's Hot Toys just - which basically consisted of a plastic ziplocked bag labeled "EVIDENCE" ("Forensic samples"), containing colored fabric swatches (measuring a inch and a half squared). Without a lingering-doubt, this may well be a version of a "viral-promotion" from Hot Toys! And I so do heart me my Dark-Knight-Virals! Will the excitement be paid off? What's the excitement over anyways?

Jeff had also deduced the "codes" on the labels/package as such:
MMS DX = Deluxe version
2 colour swatch = 2 in 1 (Classic and Cop Joker)
042009 = preview in April
(MMS = "Movie Masterpiece Series") ... Permit me to add to that - perhaps the "Deluxe" refers to a scale other than 1/6th? Would Hot Toys be venturing into the arena of 1/4-scale? Seems folks be upsizing these days, innit? Depends on the quality and make of the fabric, methinks - for thickness may vary from a smaller 1/6th-scale to a bigger format, IMHO. For me, it stands to reason a promotional campaign such as this would warrant a "change" or evolution of product, if not the promotion of an upcoming "big-ticket" item?
But then again, nothing much has been mentioned about the 1/6th-scale Police Officer Joker since the last teaser image. So perhaps it may well be a double-boxed "deluxe" edition with a spare change of clothes? Dandy criminal-in-purple quick-change to policeman-in-blue?
What do YOU think, folks? Conspiracy theories in comments-section, if you so please :)
FYI: All images here are posted with kind permission of Jeff - who mentions (on OneSixthWarriors): "I was lucky enough to get one of these little teaser 'viral' pieces sent to me from HT, I know Vader (Peter) got one but I can't find any info on it here so figured I'd start a thread.
It's a small 'forensic sample' bag giving us clues to the next releas(e). The numbers all seem to be lifted straight from the 'sample' in the movie, and the cloth is blue/purple one side and black the other."

[Cheers for all the excitement, Jeff !]
