custom 1/6th star wars snow speeder

personally, i think Empire Strikes Back (Star Wars 5) is the BEST installment of the entire celluloid saga by far, with it's intense action and adventure, an underling darkness in mood + disposition and high drama, coupled with interesting character arcs, and where the dialogue wasn't as tacky as the others (IMHO) ~ i could go on, but this ain't a movie-review (as much as i'd like to) ~ it reminded me of a custom a long whiles back, on a local toysforum board: the making of a 1/6th-scaled Snow Speeder!
customized by a local toycollector (Ozboy02) with the basic Snow Speeder frame in foam-core! (images 01 / 02 / 03)
with nearly a month into the custom with weathered goodness :)
< completed Snow Speeder with yummy details (wish there was an photo-album with these tho :p)
altho (pardon my rant to come) it bugs me silly that SW-properties had been screwed-up these past years, in reference to them 1/6th-"diasters" by Hasblow (IMO) until recent offerings from Medicom and now SideShowToys (got meself a Luke - review laterz :p) - tis the proportions of the figures that saddens me so often, which i now procure at bargain basement prices = to bash and customize to me own specifications ... and when i see the current figures produced by HotToys/DML/BBI et al - it riles me up so that properties get passed before the quality-control so easily ... but rant aside, i am still grateful for the kitbash-fodder available now, innit? *heh*
