spiderman 7 minutes hd teaser on nbc
based on a tip-off (thanks BigAppleFan!), i managed to view the 7-minutes Spiderman 3 HD teaser/1st-look on NBC.com (supposedly only viewable on March 6th - which im sure will find itself unto youtube eventually :p) - which consisted of near-entire sequences, starting off with a romantic chat between MJ and Peter on a web, followed by an intimate and personal moment with Peter and Aunt May (when he tells her :he'd ask MJ to marry him:). an extended fight-sequence with Harry/Goblin comes after that, ending with snapshot scenes and of coz, Venom!
looks like the CG-has been completed and amped-up (as compared to initial version here)
*more screengrabs and my thoughts on Spiderman, after the jump*
the 1st-look teaser starts with MJ and Peter on a web (first seen as a promo-still), k.i.s.s.i.n.g. in the park :p
Peter tells Aunt May that ::he's asked MJ to marry him:: :)
personally, what had always worked (at least for me) was the pathos and engulfing inner sadness of the sacrifices being a superhero and Sam Raimi and company milks it for what it's worth ... and the depth created is understated and way under-acknowledged, that which propels the Spiderman trilogy beyond mere popcorn-fare, IMHO.
i am not ashamed to say, i shed manly-tears in Spiderman 2 :p
the extended fight-sequence between Peter Parker (not in Spidey-suit) and Harry Osborn in full-Green Goblin-regalia (last glimpsed here) would've had me at the edge of my seat, if only i could've seen the images clearer (the screen was way dark) - which i could only "enjoy", after i'd painfully captured the screen-images and photo-shopped them ... *heh*
for sure, the action was as breathtaking as a small QT-screen could allow and definitely has me hankering for the big-screen debut :p
is it just me, or does the new Goblin suit look like a G.I.Joe/Snake-Eye "test-suit"? *heh*
the teaser ends with random-ish screenshots of sequences, including a new look at Sandman in giant-form (*coolness*)
which goes to show, if ever "they" wanna do a Clayface for Batman, it can be done LOL
... and of coz, agorgeous hawt Kirsten Dunst:
... what can i say, i have ahard soft spot for her ... *sigh*...
Spiderman 3 opens May 4th 2007 :)
