about that 12-inch jack bauer from diamond select

the only 1/6th-articulated Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland's character from the tv series "24") that i'd known of, was Medicom Toys' (reviewed on MWC Toys) and then this dropped in my inbox: 24: Jack Bauer 3pm 12-inch Cloth Action Figure (image-left) and with a little bit of digging uncovered two figures from Diamond Select!

Jack-left (in grey shirt) is the "3pm"-version (based on his 1st season appearance as he trieds to track down his kidnapped wife and daughter), while the "fresher" looking dude in brown-top is the "Regular"-version for when he starts off the day (LOL) ... (apparently) each figure features 25-points of articulation, "and detailed cloth and plastic clothing along with a wealth of accessories sure to prove useful defusing bombs, hunting terrorists or uncovering government conspiracies!"

Regular-Jack is available Jan 16th for US$39.99 [www] while 3pm-Jack is slated for a (tentative) June 15th for US$39.99 - pre-order via DiamondSelect and/or Wizard [tipoff via]

... a decent-looking Jack-likeness (a US$40 price-point versus Medicom's US$170-per?) i wonder what the internal body-sculpt is, and if the jacket shown on image-top-left would come with the 3pm-edition? and that "Jack" is ambidextrous? *heh*
