IN THE BEGINNING:
"So it was 2007 and Ryan Waxenberg ("Escape76" from/and President of Formula Werks) was shopping for art. He knows artists all over the world, yet it was still a pain in the ass…checking all these MySpace pages, Flickr pages, personal sites, stopping by people’s houses, sending emails, sending texts, making phone calls, getting on instant messenger. Talk about a complicated process, just to get art on the walls!
Throughout the headaches, chain smoking, coffee overdoses and the like, he came up with the idea for a place where artists from all over could directly sell their original pieces to the public. And so, contacts were made, blindness ensued due to late-night coding sessions, and out popped Freshly Dipped: The Artist’s Gallery (where you can find all types of works listed above, as well as bio’s on the initial 30+ artists involved with this project).
