mccarty shoots bertie for hi fructose
no, it ain't a "paparazzo-rag sensationalist cover-title" depicting a "torrid plastic-lurve-triangle", but rather of a behind-the-scenes nugget with acclaimed photog Brian McCarty narrating the process of his photo-shoot of Bertie The Pipebomb for the upcoming Hi-Fructose Issue#8 - found on their spanking new blog+website [original uncropped pics via]
the figure is huge. and not just in it's conceptual development and execution/production, but also physically huge at 14-inches tall (i've not had the benefit of seeing it scaled besides convention display-pics), so this was a pretty toy-woody-worthy moment (*ahem*). huge beast, this!
IMHO, this figure is meant to be posed, played with and admired, becoz rather than 'just' a piece of manufactured plastic (for the sake of extreme argument), it possesses multiple articulation, removable combat-gear and accessories, as well as weapons (which appeals greatly to the 1/6th kitbasher in me) and is a physical manifestation of a creation from an artist / comicbook illustrator = seriously, can it get better than that? ... and im only gushing over online pictures, mind. LOL
