You know it was just a matter of time ... and what a sweet fit it would be: Carebears x BE@BRICKS!

A predominant fixture of the retro-80's with a decidedly more cutesy-tone (along with Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony etc) as opposed to the macho boys-toys (like Transformers, Master of the Univrse, MASK et al), CARE BEARS [wiki] had captured the hearts of many a kiddie & tweens, both girls and boys (c'mon, admit it!) - who probably may not even dare want to be associated with the cuddlewuddle-bearbears, innit? (heh)

Come October 2008, you'll be able to relive those memories - this time with a Japanese "designer-toy"-angle (and not having to worry much about peeps giving you too much grief, maybe) with the first 2 characters from Medicom Toy: 100% FUNSHINE and CHEER Bears - for a SRP of 1,500YEN per (US$14 /SGD$20)

And from this above image last seen @ the Medicom Toy Exhibition in June [pic via uwants.com] there's about 4 more Care Bear designs to come from Care-a-Lot, innit? And that's not even counting the Care Bear Cousins, innit?
