Magneto: Mutant Master Of Magnetism in Comics & Films
No matter how skin-tight the spandex is, or how flowy the tunic can wrap, there are two things that will make sure you recognize the master of magnetism: his red cape (but then everyone has a "cape"), and more prominently, his helmet. Without a doubt, the helmet is what makes a villain… recognizable - in this world filled to the brim with super-powered goodie-two-shoes and evil-doers.

One of the very few "stronger" fictional characters created, essentially Erik Magnus Lehnsherr is the Alpha-Male with Brains, whose ego and arrogance never let him snivel like other wannabe failed world-rulers (except for when he lost Genosha, and when he lost his powers, dude was a one-mutant daytime soap-opera). I have mad respect for Erik, but dude, get your anti-humans-hating rhetoric right! "They" outnumber your mutant-ass = so subjugate and dominate, don't be hatin'!
Essentially two images of Magneto are etched into the public subconscious: Jim Lee's rendition from the white-haired virile mutant in Uncanny X-Men comicbook (who even beds Rogue in Age of Apocalypse, my hero), and
In the comicbooks, Erik could polarize the magnetic fields of the globe, while in the movies, he screwed up a bridge. At least one thing remains constant, both characters could have Wolverine in their grips, by affecting his Adamantium-laced bones, no? Regardless, here's a quick look at some images of the Mutant Master of Magnetisim found on the net.

From Victor Hugo comes this adorable Magneto-baby (inspired by Skottie Young's art) - one of my fav-images seen on the net at the moment! (via www.geekologie.com).
"Milk of Magneto" by Evan Dorkin (creator of Milk and Cheese)
"I probably should have called him Milk of Magneto instead of Milkneto. Whatever. If I had given it more thought I would have probably stopped drawing it and gone to bed. This was based on a drawing I doodled at the bottom of a recent letter. I just liked the way the helmet looked on Milk and it stuck with me. Maybe I'll draw him as Galactose next. Har-har." ~Evan
