Robotone Sprogs by Cris Rose
Cris Rose of UK releases images and info of his new series featuring ROBOTONE SPROG - "a concept that grew out of last years musings on a Bot of the Month club." ~said Cris, with a brand new colour Renold and Rourke being listed on his store for US$25 (+shipping), and the excitement begins January 7th!
We've seen full-colored resin Sporgs ion Mini-form before (currently available via my Gashapon Capsules *nudge-nudge*) but these are full-sized Sprogs instead (check out the size comparison to a 3" Dunny below) and are excellent self-made figurines, IMHO! I'll let Cris 'speak' for himself from here on in:
CRIS: There are 13 colours in total - why 1 extra? Well if you collect all 12 colours of the same bot, i will send you the 13th for free! When you put all 12 together, they make a rainbow - just send me a photo of your Robotone Rainbow in November and i will pop special No13 in with your order for No12. Remember, it must be all 12 of either Renold or Rourke to qualify.
Each new Robotone goes up on the 7th of each month, for the same price of $25, and will stay there either until the end of the month, or until stock runs out. The releases are "open", so some colours may be more rare than others depending on demand, but as i make every one by hand, there is a limit to how many i can make. Once a colour is gone from the store, it's gone! There is a limit of 2 of each sculpt, per person.
CRIS: There may also be some exclusive colours at select retailers and events through the year and a limited number of Harlequin 1/1 Renold and Rourkes popping up... perhaps even the odd Rotund or Ruckus!
Each Robotone Sprog is solid coloured resin, right through and comes with a numbered header card and bag. Release order will not be chromalogical, but chosen to reflect the month.

Robotone releases are not a replacement for standard hand painted and rusted Editions of Sprogs, those are still ongoing as usual, they're more of a monthly extra for those who like bright colours or require a more wallet-friendly robot in these trying economic times :) Also, they're for me! I just love solid blocks of colour!
