"Where The Wild Things Are" KUBRICK by Medicom Toy (for Toysrevil Turns 8 Facebook Contest)
Without a doubt KURBICKS and BE@RBRICKS helped shaped my initial foray and reactions to "collectible toys" and "blind boxes" - in the early days, before Kidrobot and it's ilk - Medicom Toy was already lining the shelves and toy-stores with their wares, more "licensed" than "art", but off the treaded path of blister-carded toys found in Toys'R'Us and such.
And while I will admit the movie did not charm me as much as the Kubricks did, I had hoped to share this toy-joy with the winner of this contest :)
