Kit Lau's "Acid Rain" for #TTF2013 Taipei Toy Festival
One of the items which caught my post-apocalyse-robot-loving-attention to be made available at the coming Taipei Toy Festival (July 11-14), is this "STRONGHOLD 4eye Robot" from Kit Lau of Skronex x Ori Toy - available for pre-order at A82 ACI TOYS INTERNATIONAL LTD priced at NT$5420 per.
Based on Kit's "ACID RAIN" post-World-War-2 story, "Stronghold" is a part of a larger vehicle (which perhaps might be on display at TTF?) … nevertheless, here are more snaps of the mecha-robot-tank (apologies of it's not the exact same piece, but it sure looks like it, right down to the "34" on it haha):
ACID RAIN: "The Second World War ended in 1945 but it continues in a collateral world - the Acid Rain World. The endless battles all over the place have destroyed the civilizations and polluted the environment. Resources have become scarce because of the unlimited pollutions and total warfares. Humans continue the war hopelessly to seize resources for survival, they control the mechanic armour and weapons to fight and defend themselves to struggle for tomorrow in the Acid Rain World." (via www.skronex.com)
"The Acid Rain World is a toy series by Kit Lau who has created the mechanic armour and tanks under the story framework of a never ending WWII. This series will crossover with ORI TOY to make it a product available."
