Marcos Lorenzo at Some Strange Things shares wth TOYSREVIL the full reveal of his ALL PAIN & NO GAIN collectible figure, destined for exclusive availability at the coming ToyConUK! And while you might be more familiar with his “Suicide Girls” (OBSKURE and THREETIMESNEVER), this is his first “male” figure, and it looks phenomenal!
This hand crafted resin figure stands 9.9 inches / 250mm tall, and includes faux leather, fabric, acrylics. In a series of only 10 units, 2 are commissioned pieces, while 8 will be open to public. No price is revealed at this time.
"When Mr. Thmpsn contacted me for a new commissioned toy inspired on a nice tattoo by the amazing Quyen Dinh, my first answer was.. "can it be a girl? Suicide girls look great in boxer shorts" And the answer was no. Well, in fact he just persuaded me to go male this time... So here it is: this is my first male character."
"This piece intended to reflect a balance between strength and weakness, or how it’s important not to be a winner but to keep fighting. Maybe a homage of those people who continue getting up one time and another despite having fallen. It’s an inner fight and an inner win. And this is translated to the body pose, where the balance of the figurine was one of the more difficult points to solve because of the S shape of the body and the aligned legs and arms.
