Lazarus



PLOT: In the utopian year 2052, Dr. Skinner discovered a miracle drug. In 2055, Skinner announces that the drug has a three-year half-life and soon everyone who took it will die. A task force of five agents is assembled to locate Skinner and create a vaccine.Its name is "Lazarus". (Info)



"Lazarus" is a upcoming anime series from MAPPA, directed by Shinichirō Watanabe ("Cowboy Bebop", "Samurai Champloo", and "Space Dandy."), with action sequences directed by Chad Stahelski ("John Wick" fame). Co-produced by Sola Entertainment and featuring music by Bonobo, the 13-episode series is set to premiere in Japan on TV Tokyo and the United States on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in April 2025.



In addition, the theme song artists have been announced on lazarus.aniplex.co.jp, with "Vortex" by Kamasi Washington being the Opening Theme, while "Lazarus" by The Boo Radleys will be the Ending theme.
