About That Turtle Tetsujin Header Card Art by Peter Kato

One of the main things I had long wanted to share from my Issue 1 & 1/2 of I LIKE TOYS self-produced and self-published zine, was THIS particular page of an illustration by U.S.-based artist/creator Peter Kato, which is directly connected to an exclusive toy I had released!

Peter Kato Turtle Tetsujin

The sequential page-art (seen above and within the pages of the zine) illustrated by Peter showcased a squad of "Turtle Tetsujin" operators as they prepare to halo jump off to their arial transport, with that final "frozen" moment at the open bay door, coinciding with the header-card of the bagged resin figure itself!

We had planned this to coincide with the toy-release, and I had kept the connection "secret" until said-release, but alas, time blinked by fast, and I had "lost" the image to share, to be able to explain the connect... until now. So here we are!

Only 1 figure is currently available for sale, which I bring along to my Pop-Ups at Katong Square, cheers.

I had been a huge fan of Peter's indie self-produced toy-art (these have their very own box which I keep them in too) and was over the moon when he agreed to this release!

Peter no longer actively partakes in the toy-scene, but you can check out his topography via his Insta instagram.com/peterkato/ (even his doctor is no longer active), and my blog-features, cheers.
