LILO & STITCH 2025



Disney's beloved 2002 animated feature has been remade "live action", with "Lilo & Stitch" in U.S. theaters May 23rd. The first official trailer has just dropped:



PREMISE: "The film tells the story of "the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction. Pursuing aliens, social workers and the idea of the bond of family figure into the proceedings.". (Info)



I am utterly unfamiliar with the toys released during the film's run, except for a larger-sized figure I snagged at a salvation store years later (still remain "hidden" somewhere in my toy-hoard tho)... but am somewhat familiar with the STITCH collectibles released by MINDstyle under the moniker "Stitch 626" (FYI: Stitch is also known as "Experiment 626" in the film), which saw the STITCH Experiment 626 Artist Series relating two production series showcasing skin-designs by invited art toy creators: Series 1 & Series 2)! I don't think I've even seen these in person tho... :p



What'll be in store this round tho? No doubt there'll be Funko-Pops! And possibly blister-carded figures, maybe? I have no doubt there'll be plush incoming too... and perhaps blind boxed mini figures? Crossovers with other characters maybe?
