"​Tojima Tanzaburo Wants to Be a Masked Rider (東島丹三郎は仮面ライダーになりたい)" is a 2018 comedy manga written and drawn by Yokusaru Shibata, the creator of "Air Master" and "81diver" (Info). An anime adaptation was announced on March 7, 2025, and we were introduced to a teaser trailer circa AnimeJapan 2025, and I can relate! LOL



SYNOPSIS: Even at the age of 40, Tanzaburo Tojima is still seriously trying to become a Kamen Rider. However, just as he was about to give up on that dream, he gets caught up in a robbery case by a "Fake Shocker" that causes a stir in society... A "serious Kamen Rider pretend game" by adults who love "Kamen Rider" too much starts here! (kamenrider.fandom.com)



Essentially, the protagonist "Tojima Tanzaburo" grew up hero-worshipping "Kamen Rider", and in his was adopt the fictional character to fight crime! And while I never did read the manga, the visual of Tojima-san donning the Rider face-mask, sold it for me! Did I ever mention I am a "Kamen Rider"-fan? I already have a "mask" ready to vigilantate with too...! LOL
