I did not know this existed.

WHAT-IS: "Appleseed (アップルシード)" started life as a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masamune Shirow. The series spans four volumes, released between 1985 and 1989. It has been adapted into an original video animation, three feature films, a 13-episode TV series, and two video games. (Source)

"The series follows the adventures of ESWAT members Deunan Knute and Briareos Hecatonchires in Olympus. Like much of Shirow's work, Appleseed merges elements of the cyberpunk and mecha genres with politics, philosophy, and sociology."

Deunan and Briareos has been etched into my brains as my fav fictional pairing, but I honestly do not rememberer any storylines in either anime or manga. The characters maketh memory, in my corner of the world, alas.
In recent years, I've always wanted to bite the bullet to snag their 1/6th-scale counterparts from Hot Toys (from "EX MACHINA"), but ...
