Godmatter @ Illustration Arts Fest 2026
Identifies as a "comedy club" on his Instagram @godmatter, The visage might be of a "clown(s)", but the intent behind them is darker than anyone might recognize nor realise on the surface.
GODMATTER's table at Illustration Arts Fest 2026 was awashed with a color palette mirroring his varied product lines (also seen on @yellowfabrix), predominantly printed, to a collectible figure release (which I had earlier featured). Here are my table snaps to share, cheers.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Godmatter is a pseudonym for the Jakarta, Indonesia–based visual artist whose work depicts the stories of the main figures, Gatot the Good Guy and Ganjar the Bad Guy, who live in Gotenia, a fictional country with Karaat as its capital. The work brings the reality of our surroundings into Karaat’s daily life, delivering “striking” messages through a sarcastic, comedic tone in a lighthearted manner. Through illustrations, objects, and visual storytelling, the project explores contemporary culture and everyday absurdities. (Source)
