If you couldn’t make it to the SoHo area, you’ve probably already gotten wind that you missed out on the massive turnout for the sneaker and apparel buy/sell/trade show. Past attendees warned peers of arriving early to avoid the line; but it was inevitable as the line to enter the venue lasted almost the entire duration of the day, wrapping around the corner of Sullivan & Houston.

Once inside, the cumulative 1,100 in spectators lapped around the giant space to view the goods of 40 vendors(Citysole, Osneaker, Dr Jays). Everything from vintage heat to more recent exclusives, tons of sneakers to feast your eyes upon. A few tables even specializing in womens and kids feet to help round about the selection. Apparel also available, indie labels sold their goods while others provided vintage Nike and Jordan clothing. As if that wasn’t enough, almost all of the visitors came prepared with pairs in their arms and around their necks, trying to make some deals of their own. The smart ones brought plenty of cash because there certainly was a whole lot to cop.

New this time around was a prodigious KAWS/Original Fake collection on display courtesy of NYC’s own Toy Tokyo. Having huge success in recent times, it was a rare chance for people to see some of these rare items in person; some of which older pieces produced long before KAWS even became a household name in street culture.

Another must-see at Sneaker Con was adidas’ large booth showcasing a number of popular models- both old and new. Rotating in their glass displays ranged from never before seen adidas Fortitudes to upcoming Jeremy Scott JS Wings that are expected for the holiday season. Of course, another component that allured visitors to the adidas table was the chance to obtain vouchers for the limited special edition Sneaker Con tshirt.
