very hot and saturday toys

see any difference between both these sets of images?

HotToys SDU Breacher / VeryHot SDU Breacher

well, one is from Hot Toys, while the other is from VeryHot Toys! = that's right, bootlegs some would say "bootleg" while some may say "alternative source". well, the reality is, one costs near USD$100 per while the other's going for USD$60 lt's just say the cost difference is quite "substantial" (IMO anyways)

VeryHot SDU Assaulter HotToys SDU Assaulter

here's a review of the VeryHot SDU Assaulter figure, including pictures.

well, with the load-out, i dun really know if the dude can actually walk straight VeryHot is aiming to please and lure in the kitbashers and folks who are generally out for the gear and weapons. (i know i would be interested :p) the question is; altho they "might be" made from the "same moulds" from the original (in China), the fact remains to be seem on whether collectors "spoilt" by the details and weathering standards of Hot Toys are willing to accept anything that might not up to par? ... i suspect in the end, the price-points might win out and who knows, might even "produce" a new era/generation of "customizers", alla whom are working on them "brand new sub-standard gear", innit?

or maybe they should just stick to "gear sets", like these SWAT Gear Sets (Male + Female) from Saturday Toys!

versus Hot Toys SWAT Male + Female

imagine if there are parallels to most, if not ALL HT special forces and/or military figure sets; at much cheaper price-points, no less ... and imagine when these folks "evolve" beyond that of just reproducing factory moulds and mayhap "design" something new? imagine that...

are we actually seeing the start of a new era in the world of 1/6th figure collecting? *hhmmm*
