medicom's bearbrick series 14

man, how time flies ... feels like just last month (give or take a few years) when i hesitatingly bought my first ever bearbrick/s ... i remember the joy of opening-up a Series One blind box to find a Horror, and the subsequent foolhardy urge to purchase an entire incomplete set of 4 more figures, thinking: "i only need to get the designs i like, right?..." ... which til today, still stands incomplete at 5-designs for series one (*sigh*) ... but of coz you're not here to read my bearbrick-sob-stories, aren't you? *heh*
and in a blink-of-a-medicom-eye Series 14 has been announced ... thirteen-series on, i've "learnt" that if ever i were to get any more Bearbricks, it would have to be at the very least, the entire basic-set (7#s) - which unfortunately, has never actually contained a "perfect" set/series of designs (for me at least - not counting the chase-figs, yeh?) ... always with a coupla random bland-ones or "wtf"-designs (IMHO) ... so how does Series 14 fare? *find out after the JUMP*

top-left-right:
if this glossy-goldie be BASIC? then this might end up being the hawt sought-after Be@rbrick, innit? very " Willy-Wonka golden-ticket", yeh? / JELLYBEAN looks flat cola-flavoured / PATTERN looks like a print for a shopping center seasonal-promotion bag-print / FLAG is meh (no offense to the country, 'natch :p) / and HORROR goes by way of the pig-villain in SAW = meh.

bottom-left-right:
DRx's SF is a tad bland, but with the most "stories to tell" in this series / i'd wanted to say Lily Franks' CUTE was "cute", but it ain't ... / Ronnie Cutrone's ANIMAL reminds me of the Kellog's-tiger / both Conrad Leach's and 三代目魚武濱田成夫's ARTIST are bland to the point of lazy, IMHO

... i am very rarely that harshly critical (on my blog so far anyways) but i reckon as the blog-days go by, i tend to let myself get "offended" by lacklustre products, when i could simply not blog about them in the first place - innit? *heh*
