seen@ttf2008: ashley wood's les mort 13
Ashley Wood's LES MORT 13 [tagged] 12-inch figure prototype seen @ How2Work's booth @ Taipei Toy Festival - featuring a marked difference between it's last appearance at HongKong's Ani-Com (2007) - most noticeably the broader RED scarf, and an improvement on the new towering x menacing HAT, unlike the vagabond-stylings of the previous, IMHO.But of coz im being an armchair-critic here, views based only on online images (PEEP originals). The twin-pistolera-tottin' Les Mort 13 is scheduled for an August-drop (if the tag is any indication).

I think the older, vagabond style hat was better, it's closer to the comic book image of him and fits his character better.

Now it looks like that freaking VanHelsing. Scarf is good, but the old/comic hat was better. Actually, I don't think I will buy it like this. The 'weird'hat is waht makes him so cool.

i read somewhere that tis a RAH302 (or is it 301?) articualted body being used, but i can't seem to find that source again now (curse my senility) so i left out that info ... can anyone confirm what i have read?

A RAH301 body on it would be aces. I picked up some RAH301 Kai nudes from HLJ recently and it's the only real average human-sized 1/6 body, so is perfect for more human-styled characters like this or the Kamen Riders.
ReplyDeleteOh, and yeah, the Vampire Hunter D ref is perfect for the hat. He is styled to be like a skull-faced Shadow, but the Shadow has a fedora, and Ashley Wood didn't draw a fedora but something more pointy, probably because a fedora just wouldn't work on a skull. Well, apart from Grim Fandango.
