who will be hot toy's next m-icon figure?
(*ya gotta say the post-title like it's the opening line from American Idol :p)
Who is our next M Icon figure? - It's not the right time to announce the next licensed product, but we can't wait to give you some hints! Well, he is a well-known American musician and entertainer. His distinctive musical sound and dancing techniques have the great impact to the music industry in all around the World. In addition, our creative team has developed a new figure body tailor-made for this special person." [via Hot Toys' newsletter]
The "Hound Dog with Blue Suede Shoes"- ELVIS PRESLEY from the early 50's comes to mind ... altho with the "new figure body tailor-made"-line - one would imagine (instinctively, at least for me :p) it may well go by way of Elvis-circa-70s? ("Chubby Presley"). Folks online have been speculating it may be "The Godfather of Soul" James Brown (gotta give him the King's Cape and Crown tho!) altho I hardly think Michael Jackson may fit the bill, dunnit? hhhmmm - What do YOU think?
FYI: Previous releases were Marlon Brando ("The Wild Ones" circa 1953), James Dean ("Giant" circa and Wong Ka Kui (from the canto-rock group "Beyond").
