"Lone Wolf and Cub (子連れ狼, Kozure Ōkami?) is a well-known gekiga or manga created by the writer Kazuo Koike and the artist Goseki Kojima. Its story led to the creation of six films starring Tomisaburo Wakayama, four plays, a television series starring Kinnosuke Yorozuya, and much more.
Lone Wolf and Cub chronicles the story of Ogami Ittō, the Shogun's executioner who uses a Dotanuki battle sword. He was disgraced by false accusations from the Yagyu clan and has been forced to take the path of the assassin. Along with his three-year-old son, Daigoro, they seek revenge on the Yagyū clan and are known as "Lone Wolf and Cub"." [wiki]
The Lone Wolf and Cub has been previously released as 1/6th-scaled action figures by ALFREX (above pic via Toys N Joys) and MegaHouse (Manga Version / below pics via completed ebay-auction) and are nigh sort-after collectible "classic" figures from the early days of 1/6. Not a whole lot of figures in this genre being released nowadays, so these might be a set to look out for, IMHO.
