Mellowtron by Stuffed Robot
Stuffed Robot has just released "MELLOWTRON" ~ the mellow, creative, and somewhat sad, but lovable, robot on Tuesday Feb 10th. Only 100 were made (all are numbered) and are available exclusively thru www.stuffedrobot.com with a SRP of US$35 each ~ and after they are sold, Mellowtron will never be made again.
Currently, Mellowtron is the only robot available, but if at least half(50) of the Mellowtrons are sold, they will start on the next robot design. Meanwhile CLICK THRU for more mellow-images, as well as the story of the Mellowtrons ... I wonder if robots tear lubricants? Gosh Mellowtron looks like he really needs a hug - so go give him one, and get him to clean the house afters (he'd like that, methinks :p) heh.

One-hundred Mellowtrons were made in all. They were made to do robot things like clean, assist, and help out around the house. Unlike other robots, Mellowtron was built to be more mellow and laid back. Harsh "robotic" robots were going out of style, so easy-going Mellowtron was the first of his kind.
The launch of the new robot, Mellowtron, was a huge success, and at first, everyone loved that he was a mellow, creative, and somewhat sad, but lovable, robot. Yet all of the Mellowtrons were utterly confused as to what was expected of them. Were they supposed to do robotic jobs, or dream all day, like they had been built to do?
Their imaginations were so vivid, they often confused their made-up worlds with reality. Mellowtron's unique personality soon came to be less appreciated by all of the customers. They couldn't believe that imagination was part of a robot's job. They all complained, "Mellowtron has no purpose if he cannot perform 'normal' robot duties!"
In one week, all 100 Mellowtrons were returned to the stores! Sent to an abandoned warehouse, left to dream of the outside world. Even though Mellowtron may not have the right qualities to be a helper bot, maybe he could be used for something else? All of the Mellowtrons are waiting anxiously for someone to rescue them from their warehouse of sadness and allow them to use their imaginations to the fullest!
