NO FUTURE COMPANION (Black Chrome Version) by KAWS x Hajime Sorayama is limited to an edition of 500 pcs - numbered under the removable base plate (1-500). Featuring an articulated metal figure with chrome finish, the 12.5 inch tall figure is produced by Medicom Toy and retailed for US$980. I used the past tense because as of this post - availability at kawsone.com has since shown it to be "Sold Out" ... *gasp*
What we are left with now is an iPhone video-recording of the metallic-companion - currently viewable via the KAWS-blog (or directly here) - for which these screengrabs belong to. *Oooohhhh so shiny and cool*
It's hard for me to believe that 500 of these things sold out within hours. Considering the 1000 dollar price tag it carries. However, if true, that's awesome! It's a very beautiful piece.
