Weenicons Series One Preview

Further to the earlier-posted previews back in April - we now have a "hot off the press" - or rather "hot off the camera" peek at images of the upcoming 1st series of Male WEENICON figurines (courtesy of Paul Kell) featuring [L-R]: Thriller, Plonker, Pity the Fool, Che, Ultra Violent, Sergeant and Champ! But this won't be an "all-boy-weenicons"-club = peep the WIP-sculpt of "Tiffany" from the Weenie-Girls series! Meanwhile, do check out their the Weenicons-blog @ www.weeni3d.com for more weeniconess :)

The Weenicons are produced by Odd Co. Ltd. (creators of Bad Taste Bears) with characters designed by Urban Graphic Ltd. Sculpting by Wayne Taylor and Model making/finishing Gavin Wilson. Tentatively scheduled for a July 2009-launch, the 3.5 inch tall figures are made in poly-resin, with plans to have them made in vinyl in 2010. Stay tuned for further updates as I get them :)




PRESS: The characters represent a contemporary, design-led take on pop culture and retro classics. The brand looks at old favourites with new eyes, and gives our cultural icons a 'cute' and modern twist. As the figurines reflect much-loved childhood heroes of our time, the range has longevity that ties in with the characters' long term appeal. And above all, Weenicons rock! The brand is proof that it is possible to be cute and cool at the same time. It's going to be a Weeni World!
