Avengers Assemble!: The Avengers Movie Line-Up Revealed @ San Diego Comic Con 2010
Without a doubt, THOR has been Marvel Comics' primary focus at this year's San Diego Comic Con 2010 [tagged] ~ but the main hype-coup has to be the line-up of the actors for THE AVENGERS live-action movie revealed at the Marvel SDCC Panel (sans superhero-spandex costumes). Via the marvel of the internets (sorry, I just couldn't resist) we have snaps and videos of the occasion! CLICK THRU for peeks.
In tandem with the event, Marvel had also launched a dedicated-Avengers website here [via], which currently reveals the logo (above-right), and not much else for the moment, I'm afraid. With one more day to go (Sunday in San Diego), I wonder what else is in store for fans, both old and new?

AVENGERS MOVIE LINE-UP (L-R):
- Robert Downey Jr. is "Tony Stark" aka IRON MAN
(Audience lurved him to bits, if the screaming is any indication)
- Clark Gregg as "Agent Phil Coulson" of S.H.I.E.L.D.
(Folks will remember him from Iron Man 1 & 2)
- Scarlett Johansson as BLACK WIDOW
(Returning from "Iron Man 2", and is the only lady in the line-up! Where's "Wasp"? If I had my way, I;d have Grace "Boomer from Galactica" Park as front runner! She'll look great with Chris Evans, IMHO)
- Chris Hemsworth as The Mighty THOR
(I like it that the dude's taller than Captain America, and everyone else!)
- Chris Evans as "Steve Rogers" aka CAPTAIN AMERICA
(The jury is still out on him as the "First Avenger")
- Samuel L. Jackson as "Nick Fury"
(The Ultimates Universe version, and the only African-American dude in the line-up. But he controls them all, doesn't he?)
- Jeremy Renner as "Bart Clinton" aka HAWKEYE
- Mark Ruffalo as "Dr Bruce Banner" aka The HULK
(Replacing Edward Norton in a dramatic-week leading up to the SDCC-reveal)
Second last person with the grin is Joss Whedon, announced as the director of The Avengers film! Ho boy that announcement (heard in the video above) literally sent shivers up+down my weary-spine, in an excellent way!
