Giant Robot Presents: Big Boss Robot & David Choe's Munko (@ San Diego Comic Con Booth 1729)
PRESS: After helping to create today's designer toy landscape by providing early, key exposure to luminaries in the field such as Michael Lau, Eric So, KAWS, and Devilrobots, as well as the forces behind Medicom and Toy2R, via its magazine, Giant Robot is finally distributing two exclusive figures, made in conjunction with Japan-based Good Smile Company.
Give a warm welcome to blind-boxed BIG BOSS ROBOT (based on Giant Robot's mascot) and David Choe's MUNKO (the "whale" seen in many of David's art thru the years, and most recent on the cover of his poster for the "Dirty Hands" docu-film). They are scheduled to be released at San Diego Comic Con 2010 [tagged] at the Giant Robot Magazine and Stores - Booth 1729. CLICK THRU for pic and product info!

PRESS-CONTINUED: Good Smile Company is a Japanese figure manufacturer known by hardcore toy and anime fans for its Figma and Nendoroid pieces. Despite being a small, privately owned company, its reputation for top-quality work allows it to regularly outsell larger manufacturers such as Bandai on Amazon.co.jp.
In addition to selling Big Boss Robot and Munko at its retail stores, Giant Robot will be the sole wholesaler of both pieces. Born as a Los Angeles-based magazine about Asian, Asian-American, and new hybrid culture in 1994, Giant Robot has evolved into a full-service pop culture provider with shops and galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City, as well as an online equivalent.
