A Year of #TOYSREVILTOYNEWS
I started "#TOYSREVILTOYNEWS" in January 2023, with the intention to compile a trio of toynews per blogpost, instead of three individual blogposts (which honestly might have gotten me more click-throughs),.
But I likened this to a "mixtape compilation", and that to me was as interesting a notion than extended click-throughs (at least for the time being). Since adopting the current blog-page layout, I've also adhered to a standard sized "header/banner" for each blog-feature, and it generally fits 3 x product images = enough to tease, and reminding me somewhat of mixtape cassette covers of montaged-artists LOL

Remembering the earlier years of this blog when I could maxed out at 28 blogposts-a-day (During convention periods, of course) ... whereas these days, there might be times when there are hardly any release toynews, or when I am bogged down by offline tasks. The days I trawl the www for hours at an end, looking for toynews to share, are getting shorter.
To showcase a broader range of toynews, the compilations included pre-releases, post-drops, and even Sold Out statuses, not just with being a "online noticeboard" for upcoming drops.
As well reacting to the over-grown issue of "image management", with nearly 19 years worth of data (much of it lost to lapsed Photobucket accounts :p) and punishing blogger's google images quota, "hosting images" has become a challenge, which this blog cannot efficiently sustain. This blog has been operating as a "passion project" for the past few years, which I have still continued to cling unto...

In comes Twitter-now-renamed-X to save the blog-day, as they allow embedding, with the load not as harsh as Instagram-embeds are, so was borne the concept of posting X-embeds with images and videos. Not to mention cross-social-platforms promotion (which I suspect is not as effective as I'd hoped it to have been). The social eco-system is very much self-contained, with each bringing in its own eyeballs and clicks.
Be that as it may, the "holding vessels" are manageable, while "content(s)' however, has become a rare(r) breed. To compromise, TOYSREVILTOYNEWS-posts need not be a daily occurrence, and I am able to dedicate specific toynews to events as well, and this worked pretty well for TOYSREVIL, as least for my daily blog-function. Featured here are toynews from the only last quarter (October to December) of 2024.
TOYSREVILTOYNEWS is essentially toynews I'd come across my socials or timelines, and functions more like a "headsup" with cliffnotes/basic product info, while TOYNEWS SUBMISSIONS are submissions emailed in, with much fuller information and product images (Submission Guidelines to assist you, cheers). I heartily recommend email submissions, than folks trying to DM me on socials, thank you.
#TOYSREVILTOYNEWS will be continued to be served in "2025".
Thank you for reading and clicking, cheers.
