TOP TOY OF 2024 - #10: Another new to me is this great Magical Murphy gorilla made by Puleche in 1987. I always loved the design and the opening mouth gimmick. It’s a source of inspiration for an upcoming toy from me.
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #9: This amazing invader is Marusan’s Alien Fran with tentacles from KL’s inaugural SuperToyFest! Great show!
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #8: I love Rage’s work so I had to pick up this Singapore Blonde exclusive from Grape Brain Rage X BLAXK gallery.
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #7: From my first SuperFestival, this is the cursed monkey’s paw from Unplugged Works. It has such presence.
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #6: Wooden Tetsujin 28 and buildings. Another precious item that could be purchased at Wonderfest. Lovingly made by Bootaleboo.
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #5: I got this kidnapped Odama-Oyaji from Toshi Arumimakezu at my first Wonderfest in February. It was an overwhelming and inspiring occasion for me.
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #4: Yokai Akari with GID chagama. I love these tsukumogami sofubi made by SQDBLSTR. Amazing paintwork too!
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #3: Siccaluna Tetsujin Sets A & B. I got these in Japan at the start of the year. I love the spirit captured in their small size and that they feature lesser known robots from Tetsujin 28. Not a 2024 release but new to my collection.
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #2: Kaichudento Obake. My second sofubi. I’m looking forward to the new adventures and learning this yokai will give me in 2025.
TOP TOY OF 2024 - #1: Bunbuku-F0. Finally launching my own sofubi is an amazing experience that continues to teach me new things and allows me to make new friends.
