BE@RBRICK Animated Series on AppleTV



Apple TV has launched a new CG animated comedy series for kids and families, with Season 1 of "BE@RBRICK" currently streaming here on tv.apple.com!



WHAT-IS: "This brand-new 13-episode series, inspired by the iconic BE@RBRICK figures, is produced and animated by DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu Inc.. Featuring upbeat original songs, the show encourages kids and families to embrace their true selves through the universal language of music. Follow Jasmine Finch and her bandmates as they passionately chase their dreams, inspiring those around them along the way.'



"Kids focused" animation is not something I actively indulge in on this blog, nor watch, I admit, but it sure feels to be an "interesting" avenue to "srt them off young" (to be future toy-collectors when they grow some $$$ lol) ... likewise with Tokidoki's MERMICORNO: STARFALL animation (currently streaming on Max), in stark contrast to adult oriented offerings like Junki Ito's SPIRAL and anime. Interestingly it did not dawn on me until very recently, that the mini TINPO-figures from UNKL I'd collected decades back from 2007, has also been made a kids cartoon (*I forgot I's blogged about that too tho LOL)! Most notably amongst these cross-genre-crossovers include BOSSY BEAR animation (on Nickelodeon, 2023), and also a big screen feature film UGLYDOLL (2019) too. Of course there are tons more examples, and CARTOON and TOYS are heavily entertwined in our pop culture, innit?

... that said, I wonder what trajectory BE@RBRICKS will take this time...?
