rising minor

Fort Minor is a solo project set up by Linkin Park EmCee Mike Shinoda, with the new album; The Rising Tied - executive produced by Jay-Z, as well as a shitteload of serious collaborators. *dude ain't mucking about in the value department, innit?* :p

*read more HERE after the jump*

personally, it's my current *pseudo-linkin-park-fix* = no disrespect to Shinoda, whatsoever dood! (becoz he is too "recognizable-a-voice" of LP, innit? :p) ... and he rawks hard here on this debut album of suppressed anger and dammit, it is truly effin' really good and i suspect it'll only get better with repeat-barrages to thy feeble brainears to come (have been loopin' the album for the past coupla hours! *heh*) ... altho thou shall not attempt to use terms like "fresh"/"dope"/"ill" to describe the album, other than it is highly effin' recommended for all LP-aficionados / hiphop/rap/heavy-industrialists and folks who loved the Jay-Z/LP Collision Course album.

and now dammit i've gotta go find the Limited Edition with DVD version of the album (as i've read about it before and had forgotten dammit) ... *sigh*

linkies galore:
> do check out the Fort Minor Unofficial Fansite for a truly detailed and labour of love filled with info-galore (even more-so than the "official site", IMHO)
> link to Coolhunting's report on Mike Shinoda's artwork on a Munny figure
> check out Shinoda's shoe-design for DC Shoes.
> view music videos for: Petrified, Remember The Name and Believe Me.
> or alternative music-video viewing (but not great resolution, just "bigger screen") at the youtube sites for: Petrified, Remember The Name and Believe Me.

the artwork:
have always been suitably impressed by Shinoda's art work and his current album cover's looking truly good too, with montaged chaos-deceiving imagery, peppered with warped-cuteness ... it actually reminded me somewhat of a lot of an old comic-book illustrator-hero, from days of yore: Bill Sienkiewic (yes, i know tis hardly graf nor street lah *bleh*), his earlier "experimental" days anyways (but of coz tis all in my fetid lil mindmuck-warped-reality lah :p) ... anyways, t'was pretty hard to find any of Shinoda's work online, much less trying to showcase his current album-design .... for which i scanned with the intent to post, but figured i should just let it be for now and hide it somewhere on this entry instead so i won't get sued or sumthing

*anybody has any images of Shinoda's work to share please?*
