Daft Punk's Electroma is a film project by French duo Daft Punk. The plot revolves around the quest of two robots (the band members, played by Peter Hurteau and Michael Reich) in becoming human. The music featured in this film is not by Daft Punk. This is a first for the duo considering their previous film/DVD releases, Interstella 5555 and D.A.F.T. (the latter being a collection of music videos). The music in this film includes works by Todd Rundgren, Brian Eno, Sébastien Tellier, Curtis Mayfield, Linda Perhacs, Jackson C. the film premiered as part of the Cannes Directors Fortnight this year and is largely a "silent" film, while not utilizing their own music material at all. apparently t'was panned by critics as well, but heck, i'll be interested to have a gander or two ... *heh*
