oh what a difference a headsculpt makes ...
on left: the previously announced figure with a dorky headsculpt (which attracted quite a bit of online criticism - i personally hate it that the necks are so small) and on right is the latest solicited DC Direct Captain Marvel = *cool*
personally, as "human" as we (as in the creators) constantly want to make them superheroes (in comics or in movies), remember what it is that makes them different than you or me, not just in tangible action and reaction - but also of the basic "aspirational factor" or "value" of said characters, that which makes everyone look up to them and want to be like them ... even if it is just a headsculpt or a particular herioc stance, IMHO.
unless of course there are actually two variants (unconfirmed): the vintage comicbook version and the current no-nonsense Captain Marvel? *heh*
