8"er Grumpy Carebear vinyl + 50 artists/customizers + auction for charity =
"American Greetings will be featuring 8-inch vinyl Grumpy Bears customized by over 50 artists to benefit Harvest For Hunger. The show will be exhibited for three weeks and each toy will be part of a silent auction." - so says the flyer for the Grumpy Freak Show [via/via]
here are just some of the outstanding customs from the grumpyfreakshow blog:
varied influences and styles are shown so far (check out artists' links on top-right of blogpage), with personal favs being CMR's "Bear Tank" and Saxton Moore / sacks10's (designer of the original vinyl Grumpybear; image very-top of entry-left) trio of cuties (lurving the Cat Bus from Totoro!) and even a submission from UNKL (wif wittle tinpo-head LOL). with near 100-over customed pieces in this show, it'll really be an eye opener ~ *neato*
