of retro 70's toy commercials and designer vinyl exposure
anyone here remember any of these?
i "recognize" a couple, but never had any of them tho *heh*
altho i wonder, would there ever be any televised "commercials" for designer vinyls? besides the recent erratic trend in incidental exposure on popular tv-shows or music videos, i don't really see anyone ponying-up to pay for "production" of a traditional toy-commercial, much less pay for air-time, innit? but then again, that'll only service the "masses", like toys from big-corporates like Hasbro et al ... then i realized i haven't really seen a toy-commercial on local (singapore) television for the looooooooongest time, innit? (and yes, mayhap they are all concentrated on Kid's Central :p)
or maybe, for urban / designer vinyls - they'd take on a more evolutionized form/medium instead? via the www / via toy forums / via this quasi-underground sub/popculture that everyone else ignores accept for the detizens who be reading this and making sense out of my vords, innit? *heh* - or mayhap tis less of the "toy", but more of the "artists" and his "creations" that'll capture everyone else's imagination (and pocket-money) in this millienia and the next? to wit: Joe Ledbetter-animated ... what do you think?
