as part of the Star Wars 30th Anniversary celebrations and in tandem with the recently released R2D2 Mailbox [blogged] - the US Postal Service is to release 15-Star Wars-themed stamps, available May 25th!

i mean, what is it about iconic-themed stamps? while i admit i used to casually collect stamps when i was a wee lad (who didn't? LOL :p), i am quite amazed til now, which mayhap translates into a "record" (of our times/generations) of the "success" of a (country's) pop cultural-icon, when they are eventually immortalized depicted as "stamps", innit? *heh*
