toy soldier's 1/6 neil mccauley heat figure

one of the more kitbashed (and elusive) non-military figures from modern film history (that i know of anyways) would be Michael Mann's HEAT, starring Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and Val Kilmer - and more specifically, would be the Armored-Car Robbery scene, where DeNiro (as mastermind "Neil McCauley") and Kilmer (as "Chris Shiherlis") were dressed in sharp-suits and tooting automatic machine guns (as Pacino / detective Vincent Hann pumps off rounds on the other side of the law).

and not that they're hard to bash, not really (*heh*) ... suits you can get, primaries (weapons), bags, gear etc ... except for the headsultps. the facial features/likeness of the three primary actors are the key (and what differentiates the bashed-figure from any other run-of-the-mill peeps with guns ... now, headsculpts of the three primaries have surfaced years ago (which i darn missed!!!) but never really a commercial-release full-figure, until now.

with this thin-veiled (if at all LOL) reference to "Neil McCauley", Toy Soldier creates a 700-set run of "Los Angeles Crime Figther" [currently available for pre-order here @ USD$60 / images via] - now, im not raving about this figure yet (need to see it in-hand but doubt if i'll ever spend the money have the chance) but appreciate the diversity the hobby currently has to offer :)

would we eventually ever see 1/6th Vincent and/or Chris? *heh*
